Introduction and General Information
Egg collection is performed under sedation (slight anesthesia) by the guidance of transvaginal ultrasonography. Since anesthesia will be applied it is important to arrive at the clinic hungry and thirsty.
– UNDER SLIGHT ANESTHESIA
– 10 – 20 MINUTES
-It is not a process that requires hospitalization.
-Complications that could develop after these procedures are bleeding and infection.
-However, both of these risks are very low when experienced people perform the procedures under sterile conditions.
-Eggs collected are put into small tubes that contain nutritive liquids. The structure of these liquids is prepared by mimitating the liquids in the tubes of women.
-Eggs inside the tubes are kept in devices called incubator which have the temperature and characteristics of the woman body.
